He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Southeast University and Nanjing University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. In 2011, he joined the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
He is currently a Professor with the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University. His research interests focus on the principles and applications of distributed optical fiber sensing technology, who has published 209 papers and applied 190 patents in the relevant filed. He has won 5 first-class awards for scientific and technological advancement from the ministry of education and Provincial Department of Science and Technology. In recent years, he has acted as the leader or core member in more than 40 research projects from NSFC, MOST, military and enterprise, who has deep theoretical foundation and rich practical experience in weak signal detection, high-speed data acquisition, digital signal processing and so on. His research group can accept foreign students to pursue doctoral degrees, if they succeed in obtaining the scholarship to cover their stay in China.
